What should your team actually be providing?

Score your current team or brokerage from 1 to 10 across the 15 categories that decide what a split actually buys you. Add it up and you will see in one number whether you are in a strong environment, one with gaps worth investigating, or one charging you for a platform that is not helping.

115 to 150

You are probably in a pretty strong environment. Protect it, and keep pushing for the remaining gaps.

80 to 114

There are gaps worth investigating. A few of these categories may be quietly capping your income.

Under 80

You may be paying for a platform that is not materially helping you build a better business.

The standard

Do not settle for a split that buys nothing.

The categories above are not a wish list. They are the operating checklist of a team that is actually in the business with you, and any honest broker or team leader should be able to answer every one of them specifically on a single call.

When you score your environment, look at the pattern more than the total. A 9 across the board with one 2 in accountability tells a very different story from six 5s. The low categories are where your business is leaking, no matter how strong the rest feels.

If you would like a second opinion, bring your scorecard to a confidential conversation. We will tell you which gaps are typical, which are fixable in place, and which are worth moving over.
